Magazine's Purpose
The purpose of the magazine is, as indicated by its name, to build the audience's TBR.
As not everyone knows what a TBR, I chose to put between () its meaning and use that as my subtitle.
I think this is also a target maker because the booklovers that this magazine is aimed will know the meaning.
Magazine's Target
As stated before, this magazine is aimed at everyone who loves to read and so, it requires a minimal level of academic education and maturity and excludes children up to 12 years old. As a quick search show, statistics tell us that women read more than men. It also tells us that people between the age of 18 and 29 read more books in a year.
My magazine is therefore, aimed at women in that age range even though I believe that it would please every teen/adult book lover.
Literary Magazine Covers
Most literary magazines have very simple but creative covers, usually a single drawing that fills the entire page and just a few words.
Cover - Image
I think that the colours are very appealing and that they capture the attention of the magazine’s main audience target – young women. I thought that I should also put the month and the year of this publication since I imagine it to be a monthly issue.
Typography in the Cover
For the magazine’s name, I decided on a bold font that would stand out in such a complex drawing. I used a font with serif to facilitate the reading of the magazine’s name and I also changed the size of the words to create a more strong and dynamic cover. There are two different fonts in this cover to differentiate the title from the subtitle.

The goal of my page spread is for people to realise right away who the author of the book we are going to be talking about is.
I included two quotes from the body text so the page could become more appealing even with all the text in it. I used two strong bright colours, blue and yellow, that could link everything together, including the images.
Typography
For the titles, I chose a more modern font that would still be clear and robust. For the body text, I chose a great font that is, at the same time, not the most common. It is very readable, natural and structured too.
Second-Page Design
In this page, I wanted the book itself to be the main focus. After that, I tried to redirect the audience attention to the quotes that will, afterwards, bring the audience to read the entire piece.
